Psychotropic Oils

We have learned a little about the theraputic oils, now let's get into the oils we psychotropic or 'flower oils'. These oils although distilled or extracted by other methods from flower petals, don't always smell like the flower. Some do however and are delightful. Others don't smell like the flower at all! But all these oils have some amazing properties. Even just inhaling them can do marvelous things!

We are proficient in the use of about 30 'psyche' oils and all have different uses. For instance, Cassie (not to be confused with Cassia which can be irritating to the skin), eases the feeling of bein overwhelmed, taking the world off ones' shoulders, giving back self respect and self worth.

White Champaca is a gentle, reassuring oil to help us hang in there and maintain our sanity when it's getting to be a tough one.

Oakmoss....this one is grounding and uplifting at the same time...good for left brainers.

Tuberose. One or two drops in a blend is sufficient for treating trauma and extreme stress, brought on by low self esteem and self worth. We will use this one in a blend for PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) or for adults that have gone through childhood trauma.

Rose is not exactly classed as 'psyche' but it can take the anger out of a man very fast and calm him down. Mixed in a blend with more masculine scents like Oakmoss and lime for an aftershave and you will find him better tempered while you are boosting his immune system and calming him.

White Lilac has a bit of a narcotic effect, not much, but useful when dealing with chronic pain. We distill it ourselves since it is no longer available on the world market because the perfumers use it as a base. (it really doesn't smell like lilacs...)

Nightqueen is a very nice oil from a flower that only blooms at ...you got it...night. We first encountered it in Texas. The flowers on the bush didn't look like much, but after dark, all of a sudden these little trumpet-like flowers opended up and the smell was amazing! Very heady, but calming. We went searching for the oil and found out it is not only great for mellowing things out, but it is fantastic for out of control pain! We love it.

Narcissus is one where we will only use a couple of drops since it also can be slightly narcotic. But the effect on pain and extreme stress responses makes it a must have in our kit.

We could go on and on.... but take a look in the section under products for the Psychotropic oils and there are descriptions of some of our other oils.

In the future, we will give some examples of how these oils have helped some of our clients (names will be changed to protect the innocent even if they don't want to be protected!!!).
